GoToMeeting, by Citrix, is the premier online collaboration tool for Western Carolina University. For the past few years, WCU has used WIMBA for virtual meetings and collaborations. Wimba is, alas, no more but after an extensive search, we have selected Citrix's GoToMeeting to replace it. GoToMeeting is an easy to use tool that allows for class sessions, meetings, video searches, sharing of documents, web tours, and much more. GoToMeeting enables hosting of "no preregistration required" meetings for multiple attendees (25 attendees for undergraduate student hosts, 75 attendees for faculty/staff/GA hosts).
To join a GoToMeeting, just simply ask the meeting organizer for the Meeting ID, and join the meeting here: http://www.joingotomeeting.com/fec/. If you are a host, you can download the GoToMeeting Hosting tools here and right-click the GoToMeeting System Tray Icon after the install to start/schedule a meeting.
